VC Trip To Russia

The American Business Association of Russian-speaking Professionals (AmBAR) and the Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies (Rusnano) are proud to announce Silicon Valley's First Venture Capital Trip to Russia.

This event had brought a delegation of two dozen managing partners from some of the leading Venture Capital firms in Silicon Valley to Moscow, Russia, where they were provided with an opportunity to learn more about Russian businesses and Russian technology companies and where they were introduced to the Russian market as a destination for potential investment.

During their stay in Moscow, the trip’s participants were given a unique opportunity to get to know some of the movers and shakers of Russia’s technology sector. The participants were introduced to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, business elites, well-known Russian entrepreneurs, major law firms and investment banks, and other technology executives and investors. In addition, the participants were given a behind-the-scenes look at several Russian technology companies as well as the opportunity to learn about the emerging Russian start-up scene and its growth potential. Last but not least, the participants had a chance to sample the best of Russian culture and cuisine during the trip.

All events took place in Moscow on May 25 -27, 2010. This trip was the first of its kind in the technology industry.
